BMW Motorrad is preparing to expand its 450cc motorcycle family with a new fully faired sportbike, expected to be called the BMW F 450 RR. The company has teased the upcoming motorcycle ahead of its scheduled global unveiling on October 15, 2026. The new model is expected to join the F 450 GS adventure motorcycle and F 450 R roadster, giving buyers another option in the middleweight performance-bike segment.
The upcoming motorcycle appears to take design inspiration from the larger BMW S 1000 RR. Its teaser suggests an aggressive front-end design, aerodynamic bodywork and winglets. However, BMW has not yet confirmed the complete design, final specifications, pricing or India launch timeline.
The BMW F 450 RR is expected to feature a fully faired body, giving it a sportier appearance than the naked F 450 R. Early teaser images suggest a sharp front fairing, a raised windscreen, side-positioned daytime running lights and aerodynamic winglets.
The design appears to draw inspiration from BMW’s flagship S 1000 RR, although the final styling and aerodynamic package will be confirmed at the unveiling. If the production model follows the teaser closely, it could appeal to riders looking for a compact, aggressive-looking sportbike rather than a traditional naked motorcycle.
BMW has not released the F 450 RR’s final engine specifications. However, the motorcycle is expected to use the same 420cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin platform as the F 450 GS and F 450 R.
The F 450 R produces 48 hp at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. These figures provide a useful indication of the platform’s performance, but they should not be treated as confirmed F 450 RR specifications. BMW could revise the engine’s power delivery to suit the sportbike’s character.

The BMW F 450 RR could share several components and electronic features with the F 450 R. Depending on the final variant lineup, potential equipment could include:
A full-colour TFT instrument display
Multiple riding modes
Traction control and cornering ABS-related safety systems
A quickshifter
LED lighting
Sport-oriented suspension and braking components
These features have not been confirmed for the F 450 RR. The final equipment list and availability of optional packages should become clearer when BMW reveals the motorcycle.
A lightweight, fully faired motorcycle aimed at riders seeking an accessible sporty riding experience.
The final competitive positioning will depend on the F 450 RR’s confirmed specifications, pricing and market availability.
BMW Motorrad has not announced an India launch date or price for the F 450 RR. The global unveiling on October 15 should provide more information about its design and technical details, but a global reveal does not automatically confirm an Indian launch date.
The existing F 450 GS has already reached India, which makes the new platform relevant to the local market. However, prospective buyers should wait for an official announcement before making assumptions about the F 450 RR’s India pricing, variants or delivery schedule.
